I write for children because they are the most important audience to write for. As adults, we have a responsibility to teach and guide future generations whenever we are given the opportunity. I feel incredibly fortunate to have that opportunity through storytelling.

Although a book may be recommended for ages four to eight, I believe many stories can speak to readers from four to eighty-eight. My goal is to write books that children and adults can connect with together, opening conversations that might help a child understand something new, feel less alone, or find a little peace. If one of my stories can do that, then I know I have put something worthwhile into the world.
